Why one feels panic attacks?

Although people usually cannot explain to others or themselves why they experience a panic attack, more detailed psychological testing shows that there is always a cause. Typical triggers are increased stress, physical and mental exhaustion, illness, conflicts at home or work, constant pressures and strains a person is exposed to and cannot deal with.

Panic attacks rarely occur when people are satisfied, safe, and relaxed.

Some people are more sensitive and more prone to the panic response. That is why our predisposition to panic needs to coincide with a set of circumstances to cause panic attacks.

Panic attacks often occur in the 20s, which makes sense, as this is the period in life when people make plans, set goals, and have great expectations that do not always match their capacity and the amount of support they have from other people.

When it comes to panic attacks, every somatic illness must be ruled out, and it has to be determined with certainty that no organic cause of panic attack exists. If it does, it is first necessary to treat this disorder.

The fact is that panic attacks greatly impair the quality of life and prevent people from leading a normal life.
